Farewell Port Angeles, it's been swell. Due to a job situation I am moving away from the area, the blog will stay up as an archive.

Wow, what a great photo! It looks like smart civil engineering--wish we had some more of that in my area! :)

This is the first I have seen a temporary traffic light ... It is sad to see the old demolished yet the benefits of a new bridge will most likely be worth the lose.

A kind of "sign du jour"

Nice shot, and you can sure see it.

That picture reminds me of a bridge we have in Jamaica called Flat Bridge.

It's not temporary though. It's very historic and might be around for quite a while. It's a short single lane bridge that goes over the River Cobre. There are traffic signals like this one that direct traffic.

Even though they have installed traffic signals, there are still many accidents (usually a car or trailer truck will end up in the river, most of the times quite fatally) as people try to speed up to get across the bridge before the signal changes to red.

Very convenient.

I've never seen a temporary street light like that before either. Nice winding road.

What a great "only in Port Angeles" shot this is for our theme day! And, do you know the name of the berry in yesterday's photo? I see them all the time but don't know what they are. Thanks,
-Kim

That's quite the road path through the bridge.

We get lots of temporary lights with roadworks. Either that, or a man with a stop/go sign.

Temporary light with a new bridge--sounds like good planning to me.

I hadn't seen this one...I did see the one on 101 down by Pine. PA has a lot in store for it this winter.

I recently waited at a temporary traffic light on a two lane road like this and it seemed like we waited for 30 minutes!
