We saw them yesterday at Mt. Rainier as well.
I'm a Northwesterner by birth and have lived in Washington most of my life, but have never been to Hurricane Ridge. Your photos show me what I've missed. And thanks to Katney for supplying the name. I was going to ask.
Really nice looking flowers, so many great ones in this area!
Splendid photo of this gorgeous flower. I haven't been to Hurricane Ridge since the 1980s, so this inspires me to get over there next summer.
