Farewell Port Angeles, it's been swell. Due to a job situation I am moving away from the area, the blog will stay up as an archive.

This rooster is a P.A. landmark of sorts, he's the mascot of the store Something to Crow About.

The Coast Guard base is just peeking out from behind this large ship.

The weather is getting chilly, but that's fine if we keep getting these beautiful days!

Friday, October 26, 2007

We had another beautiful sunny fall day, I hope these last for awhile.

A reader requested a photo of this store, it is one of two "dollar stores" in P.A. They are a great place for party supplies!

I love the color they chose for this fence, it reminds me of a robin's egg.

Now we can see what these concrete bases were for! The flags accompany this plaque
which signifies the discovery of our area by Spanish explorers.

The top of the giant wind chime on Front Street.

This was taken from my back porch. The sun finally broke through after a grey cloudy day.

Our own "blue hole"...there is a part of Sequim that earned this name for their unusual amount of sunny weather.

Our town is down to one bowling alley. This one went out of business and is being turned into a car dealership. It was amazing how quickly they were able to tear this building down. The crane operator was very good, he had to move the huge beams while being surrounded by power lines.

This is the road to a friends house, how would you like to see this every time you came home?

Monday, October 15, 2007

Our fall weather has arrived! I snapped this photo while driving past this house during a rainstorm.

Was there some question about WHEN the law was in effect? The "day and night" addition makes me wonder...

Saturday, October 13, 2007

The caffeinated world domination continues. But it's not all bad because we are stuck inside for at least 6 months each year; so one more place to hang out is a good thing!

A beautiful fall sunset.

Baby pumpkins, I was going to grow some of these...maybe next year!

There's nothing quite like hiking in the rain! This trail is near the Olympic National Park visitors center.

Tuesday, October 9, 2007

Our mountains have just had their first dusting of snow, soon they will be all white.

A little bit of England in Port Angeles?

Sunday, October 7, 2007

I didn't quite capture what was going on here, but the wind had suddenly picked up and it was "raining" leaves.

Power and light.

I wonder where the leprechaun hid the gold...

The ongoing war against graffiti.
(If only it was done by a talented graffiti artist, then maybe we wouldn't mind so much.)

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

This group of horses had gathered near the road, I was surprised that they did not run when I approached.

Brilliant orange pumpkins.
